European Social Fund Projects

The need to keep up with competitors is a constant struggle, especially for smaller businesses who might not be able to always afford the resources or time for training and hiring the perfect applicant. With this at its core, The Education and Skills Partnership have been provided funding by the European Social Fund (ESF) to provide 25 hours of remote training courses for employers in the South of England.

In 2023, we at ESP will be working within the Coast to Capital partnership, working with employers in and around the eligible areas in Greater Brighton, West Sussex and East Surrey to provide short, free courses. These courses will include training on a variety of high-in-demand skills in today’s working climate that involves 14 hours of online classroom study and 11 hours of independent study.

This funding is also available for eligible SMEs in Greater London in what we’re calling: Greater Capital. 

This is the opportunity to provide your teams with free, funded training with the potential to carry this knowledge on to further qualifications such as certified apprenticeships or industry recognised certifications like being a P3.express. practitioner.

Duration: 14 hours, 2 days, 11 hours independent study

ILM Units (Must Choose 2 different units)

Duration: 7 hours, 1 day (per unit), 11 hours independent study

  • ILM Unit- Solving Problems and Making Decisions
  • ILM Unit- Planning Change in the Workplace
  • ILM Unit – Understanding Customer Service Standards and Requirements
  • ILM Unit – Understanding Leadership
  • ILM Unit – Understanding How to Motivate to Improve Performance

Eligible SMEs applying for Coast to Capital Courses must be based in

  • East Surrey
  • Greater Brighton
  • any of the highlighted areas on the map
 Eligible applicants must
  • Be employed by a small or medium enterprise with 10-250 employees
  • Be based within the eligible area for the funding
  • Not have used over £200k of ESF funding within the past 12 months
