Description

Duration: 6-12 months

Course is delivered online via Teams. Observations will be carried out at the individual’s work placement.

This qualification provides an introduction into inclusive teaching and learning as well as facilitate learning and development of individuals or groups.

Depending on the units chosen, you will either need to take part in microteaching or teaching practice in a work environment.

This qualification may be eligible for funding.

Ideal for

This qualification may be taken by individuals who are not yet in a teaching role if the microteaching option is taken as noted under the ‘Description’ tab.

  • trainee teachers – not currently in a teaching role
  • individuals who are currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun their roles)
  • and also for those working as Assessors and wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction into teaching

Benefits

This qualification aims to

  • support learners to progress to a teaching role within the workplace
  • enable you to apply for teaching assistant positions within any primary or secondary school, and work with children between the ages of 5-18 years of age across the UK

Eligibility

Applicants must

  • Live in a Kent, Medway, or Mancester post code area
  • Be at least 19 years of age (on 31/08/22) 
  • NOT hold a Level 3 qualification (this is a full level 3)
  • Provide a copy of their passport and driving licence/birth certificate 
  • Be working in a primary or secondary school

Our Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching & Learning (RQF) Qualification is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about becoming a Teaching Assistant and has a keen interest in the subject, plus have an intention to progress a career, and meets the eligibility criteria above.

  • Learners should have access to a computer or a tablet device along with the internet to complete your study 
  • You should be fully committed to your studies
  • Where possible learners should have a Level 2 in maths and English 
  • Learners will be required to complete their practical placement within a school so must therefore have access to and agreed placement working with children in a school setting
  • Learners must hold a current DBS check
